• Interfleet is a consultancy, so our core assets are our people. By investing in the training and development of our engineers, we are able to improve the value of our business. Interfleet's GDS benefits both the company and the graduates.
• Since providing an IET and IMechE accredited development scheme, Interfleet has seen many benefits. Since 1998 we have employed 66 graduates and the company is now seeing the rewards of this investment. Recently one of our first graduates has been made a Senior Consultant, within our Sydney office another 2 have taken up 4-year positions as Consultants in Melbourne.
• For the graduates who progress on the scheme, the benefits are also great. The accredited scheme is the fastest route to chartership, enhancing their career prospects. The scheme provides excellent training opportunities; working for a variety of different businesses within the industry provides the graduates with valuable experience and contacts. It also provides exciting opportunities to travel across the world, and to experience working in different countries and cultures.
• The rail industry needs more young engineers, to sustain the knowledge and expertise. Interfleet's commitment to provide training is recognised throughout the industry, with many of our key clients keen to use our graduate scheme as an example.
• Interfleet recognise that there is always room for improvement. The graduates and the management of the scheme work closely together to be constantly improving and refining the scheme. It is this joint approach that provides mutual benefits for both the graduate trainees and the company.
• The scheme was recently re-accredited by the IET and IMechE. The IET were so impressed with some of our training scheme processes that they have used some of them as 'best practice' cases.
